“EU Sustainable Energy Week 2016”, 13 – 17 June 2016, Brussels
The EU Sustainable Energy Week 2016 (EUSEW 2016) will take place 13 – 17 June 2016, with Energy Days being organised during the whole month of June all across Europe.
Launched in 2006 as an initiative of the European Commission, EUSEW is a month-long annual series of activities across Europe, promoting secure, clean and efficient energy, and connecting policymakers, stakeholders and citizens to achieve climate and energy goals for the Energy Union. Stakeholders have the opportunity to participate in EUSEW 2016 by attending the High Level Policy Conference, by submitting their project to the Sustainable Energy Awards competition, or by organising an Energy Day.
The High Level Policy Conference is dedicated to sustainable energy policy issues. Sessions organised by the European Commission and energy stakeholders debate new policy developments, best practices and sustainable energy ideas, while networking events create alliances.
The EU Sustainable Energy Awards recognise outstanding innovation in energy efficiency and renewables.
The Energy Days, organised by local public and private organisations, are activities and events that raise awareness on energy efficiency and renewables. Any activity can be an Energy Day –from a workshop, to a competition, to a tour of a power station– all engage citizens and energy stakeholders in building the Energy Union.
