“EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW)”, 15 – 19 June 2015, Brussels

eusew2015-smallThe 2015 edition of the EU Sustainable Energy Week will take place on 15-19 June 2015 in Brussels. The Policy Conference, which attracts energy experts, policy-makers, representatives of the civil society and the media, will focus on four main events:

  • The European Commission will hold several policy sessions on topics related to secure, clean and efficient energy.
  • Energy stakeholders have also been invited to contribute and their proposals are currently being evaluated by the Commission.
  • The Sustainable Energy Awards ceremony will reward three projects in three categories: renewable energy; energy efficiency; and cities, communities and regions.
  • Finally, an interactive exhibition and networking village will support the three-day event.

As part of this event, Energy Days will be organized in different European countries during the whole month of June 2015. These are not-for-profit events that promote secure, clean and efficient energy. They can be any kind of activity — presentations, workshops, talks shows, exhibitions, concerts, games, quizzes or displays.

“Ecobuild”, 4 – 6 March 2015, London

ecobuildThe Ecobuild 2015,  the world’s biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment and the UK’s largest construction event, will take place from 4 – 6 March 2015 in London, England.

Ecobuild offers the biggest showcase of sustainable construction products anywhere (more than 1,300 exhibitors), over 100 free seminars (practical advice from real-life experiences) and Ecobuild conference (world-class commentators tackle the most pressing issues). “World Sustainable Energy Days 2015”, 25 – 27 February 2015, Wels

Sust_daysThe World Sustainable Energy Days 2015  (WSED) will take place from 25-27 February 2015 in Wels/Austria.

It is one of the largest annual conferences in this field in Europe that offers a unique combination of events on energy efficiency and renewable energy. The WSED 2015 offer up-to-date information on technologies, policies and markets. They are a global meeting place for the sustainable energy community and a great platform for interaction and business contacts. For more than 20 years, experts from all over the world have gathered in Upper Austria to attend this conference. In 2014, the event attracted over 750 participants from 59 countries.

WSED 2015 consist of 5 conferences:

“Training for energy managers”, 28 November 2014, Chambéry

AMBASSADOR_trainingAMBASSADOR FP7 project is organising training for energy managers, that will take place on November 28th 2014 in Chambéry, France. The meeting is planned from 9:00 till 15:00 and its agenda is dedicated to four topics:

  • Introduction into the overall energy context
  • Optimization strategies for buildings and districts dimension
  • Presentation of the District Energy Management and Information System (DEMIS)
  • Practical demonstration

“EeB 2015 calls Information Day”, 21 October 2014, Brussels

flag_yellow_lowAn Information Day on the Research Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) on Factories of the Future, Energy-efficient Buildings, Green Vehicles and Sustainable Process Industry will take place on 21 October 2014 in Brussels, Belgium. It will give the research community an overview of ongoing activities and will support the preparation of proposals for the 2015 calls. The registration should open in August. “Sustainable Places 2014”, 1 – 3 October 2014, Nice

ICT for sustainable placesOn 1 -3 October 2014 Sustainable Places 2014 conference will take place in Nice. The event builds on the successful “ICT for Sustainable Places” conference held in Nice in September 2013.

Sustainable Places 2014 will focus on energy efficiency at building, neighbourhood, district and city levels. It will cover research and innovation projects and initiatives across the construction value chain. This open research forum will be a key opportunity for delegates to meet and network with architects, building designers, energy consultants, urban planners, construction materials producers, energy generation systems manufacturers, ICT developers, academic & non-academic researchers, public authorities representatives, construction companies, service companies (including financial organisations & ESCOs), distribution & transmission system operators, standardisation organisations, and facility managers. Sustainable Places 2014 will enable to access up-to-date information, assess outcomes from the most advanced research and innovation projects, discuss possible synergies, and envision possible standards evolution. An attendance of around 200 participants, coming from Europe and other regions of the world, is targeted.

“Energy Efficiency in Buildings”, 15 – 16 September 2014, Berlin

The “Energy Efficiency in Buildings” event will take place in Berlin, on September 15 and 16 2014. Thematically the event will focus on all key areas of energy efficiency in buildings in both the public and private sectors – from procurement of finance and EPCs, contractual landscape and technologies, policy efforts, the issues of monitoring energy use and quantifying energy savings, and probably most importantly, on creating the business case for all involved. It will showcase some of Europe’s most interesting energy efficiency projects, such as the retrofit of 2000+ London’s buildings, Paris’ 100+ schools, and Barcelona’s main public buildings. “Construction and Built Environment – Future Horizons”, 17 – 19 June 2014, Brussels

ECTP_conferenceECTP-E2BA Conference ‘Construction and Built Environment – Future Horizonstakes place from 17 to 19 June 2014 in Brussels, Belgium. It is organized by the European Construction Technology Platform (ECTP) jointly with ENCORD (European Network of Construction Companies for Research and Development) and ENBRI (European Network of Building Research Institutes), and with the support of ECCREDI (European Council for Construction Research, Development and Innovation). This event co-locates with Building Test Expo 2014. AMBASSADOR roll-up will be presented at the event. More information on the event is available here.

“Energy Storage 2014”, 14 – 15 May 2014, Luxembourg

ees4-bannerThe Energy Storage 2014 event will take place in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg on 14-15 May 2014.  The two day conference is bringing together key industry stakeholders from the utilities industry, TSOs, DNOs, EES application developers and owners, as well as manufacturers to discuss the roadmap to monetizing energy storage: creating new business models and platforms for new entrants in the race to accelerate the technology push of various EES systems. The conference will have a heavy focus on case study examples of EES projects across the globe, discussing how they overcame challenges such as costs, lifecycle, safety and many other obstacles to development & deployment.

Smart to future citiesOn 29 – 30 April 2014 a “Smart to Future Cities” conference will take place in London. The conference will be looking at the move of Smart Cities into the mainstream as the governments commit finance and policy to smart city development, deployments of smart city protocols and operating platforms and acceptance of smart technologies as the norm in transport, energy, development, assisted living and security in cities.
